Similarly, the presence of a disease can affect consumer acceptance of animal products which will affect producer incomes, not only in the area in which the disease outbreak occurred but also elsewhere in the country. Impact of those diseases in feedlots may extend to these stakeholders participating in the value chain even if they do not own livestock.
