This study aims to find out the use of electronic resources in physics in select libraries to have a clear picture of their usage in libraries for providing library services particularly in research and development. My research work also include the study of different types of resources including their formats, their acquisition and collection policy along with budgets involved, also the accessibility including their storage and retrieval. The findings states that electronic resources are gaining importance by the community of faculties and researchers and steadily moving towards the new developments in the field of physics. Librarians play a pivotal role in the planning and rethinking of various high quality electronic resources to be subscribed and acquired in their libraries to serve the user category.
