Operation Overlord was a watershed in the history of World War Two: no military landing had ever been attempted on such a huge scale before. Half a century on, the Normandy landings continue to attract huge interest. This is the first book devoted to the engagement of the the American gliders on the 6th of June, 1944. Each action is documented with first hand testimonies describing the first hours of the landings.
