In 1977 a scared teenaged girl chose to give her unborn child the chance to live. That unborn child was me. She did not plan to be a mother at 16. She searched herself, her heart, her faith. She had all the reasons to end my life with abortion, and still she did not. My mother embraced my life, however difficult that was at times and never looked back.
