Title synopsis

In "Wonder Wheel" geht es um vier Menschen, deren Lebensläufe sich im hektischen Treiben des Vergnügungsparks auf Coney Island kreuzen: Die emotional instabile Ex-Schauspielerin Ginny (Kate Winslet) jobbt jetzt in einem Meeresfrüchte-Imbiss. Ginnys ungehobelter Mann Humpty (Jim Belushi) betreibt ein Karussell. Der attraktive junge Rettungsschwimmer Mickey (Justin Timberlake) träumt von einer Karriere als Bühnenautor. Und Humptys seit Langem getrennt lebende Tochter Carolina (Juno Temple) versteckt sich derzeit vor einer Gangsterbande in der Wohnung ihres Vaters.
