La transformación digital es uno de los pilares más importantes en los procesos geopolíticos en curso. Los actores internacionales prestan cada vez más atención a su agenda digital. La rivalidad estratégica entre China y EE.UU. se refleja no sólo en la esfera socioeconómica y política, sino también en términos de digitalización, Inteligencia Artificial (IA) y big data, que en realidad darán forma al futuro de la agenda geopolítica. En este contexto, la UE debe encontrar el equilibrio adecuado y adoptar una posición para defender sus propios intereses. Aunque hay muchas diferencias conceptuales entre la UE y China, todavía se pueden encontrar algunas áreas de posible cooperación sobre la base de la reciprocidad en términos de transformación digital. Este trabajo se tratará de explicar dicho contexto geopolítico y llegar a conclusiones relacionadas.The digital transformation is one of the most important pillars in the ongoing geopolitical processes. International actors are paying more and more attention to their digital agenda. The strategic rivalry among China and the US is reflected not only in the socio-economic and political sphere, but also in terms of digitalization, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data, which actually will shape the future of the geopolitical agenda. In this context, the EU needs to find the right balance and take a position to defend its own interests Although there are many conceptual differences between the EU and China, some areas of possible cooperation can still be found on the basis of reciprocity in terms of digital transformation. This thesis will attempt to explain such geopolitical context and come to related conclusions.
