Catherine despairs of the other seven women who make up her book group. Although she is the newest member and had hoped she would fit right in by joining a group of women of the similar age and professional sphere as herself, it hadn't quite worked out like that. Their strong opinions and narrow-minded views on multi-culturalism are something Catherine has trouble skirting over. As Catherine struggles to find common ground, she starts to wonder if it's all worth it. Peter has also campaigned in support of asylum seekers and refugees in the UK and researched into attitudes towards asylum seekers and refugees.
