In recent past years, the concept of intra household resource allocation has been researched by several social scientists. There has been an increasing recognition that some aspects of intra household resource allocation issues are of potential importance for policymakers for at least two reasons. Second, the way household members allocate resources among themselves could potentially affect the effectiveness of policy intervention and may even lead to unintended consequences for policymakers.
