Von der Reformation ist der evangelischen Kirche aufgegeben, sich als eine der steten Erneuerung bedürftige und zugleich zu solcher Erneuerung befähigte Kirche zu verstehen. So gehört es zum evangelischen Christsein, das eigene Glauben und Denken, Reden und Handeln kritisch zu befragen, ob es dem Evangelium entspricht und den Herausforderungen der jeweiligen Zeit gerecht wird. Im Fokus des vorliegenden Bandes steht der Gottesdienst. Hier gilt es, nicht nur Impulse der Reformation, sondern auch der Aufklärung fruchtbar zu machen.
