Title synopsis

Der ehemalige Special Forces-Soldat Mason Pettits (John Cena) langweilt sich in seinem Job in einer mittelmäßigen Anwaltskanzlei und seinem Alltag als Familienvater zu Tode. Als sein alter Militärkumpel und Chef einer dubiosen privaten Sicherheitsfirma (Christian Slater) ihm einen Job als Bodyguard für die preisgekrönte Journalistin Claire Wellington (Alison Brie) anbietet, zögert er keine Sekunde und nimmt den Auftrag an. Der lautet: Er soll Claire auf ihrer Reise in das südamerikanische Land Paldonien beschützen, wo sie als erste Journalistin überhaupt den berühmt-berüchtigten Diktator Juan Arturo Venegas (Juan Pablo Raba) für ein Interview treffen soll. Doch das Interview wird unverhofft von einem Militärputsch unterbrochen, und Claire und ihr Bodyguard müssen zusammen mit einem verrückten Diktator in den Dschungel fliehen…
