Tree rings has been applied to reconstruct climatic and environmental history during the past centuries to millenium around terrestrial regions of the globe. Using dendroclimatological techniques, this book present a new tree-ring network in the Hengduan Mountains, southwest China. Based on both tree-ring width and maximum latewood density data, regional temperature and drought history was reconstructed during the past centuries in the Hengduan Mountains.
